The 2016-2017 Governing Body of Assisteens Auxiliary was installed at the Senior Recognition meeting held in May at Assistance League of Diablo Valley's Community Resource Center.

Assisteens┬« Auxiliary of Assistance League┬« of Diablo Valley was founded in 1977 and welcomes sixty teenage members in grades 7 through 12. Members reside in Contra Costa County, CA, in communities such as Alamo, Clayton, Concord, Benicia, Danville, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon and Walnut Creek.

To become involved:

  • The membership campaign begins in March/April, with dues payable by May 1, 2017.
  • Deadline for joining is September 30, 2017 or upon membership of 60
  • Dues are currently $35 per year, plus $15 T-shirt fee.
  • Parents are required to attend an informational meeting.
  • Members are required to dedicate 35 hours of community service on Assisteens activities annually.
  • Meetings are held the second Tuesday evening of each month, except July and August.
  • Through fundraising efforts, Assisteens support community programs that benefit seniors and children.
  • Teenagers interested in joining are assigned a mentor while learning about the organization.
